Oxford has so many wonderful places for a wedding, perhaps one of the most spectacular is Christ Church College. Although Weeliem and Ellen now live abroad they were keen to return to the Oxford college where they met to celebrate their wedding.
We were thrilled when these two images were awarded "Accolades of Excellence" in the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International half yearly awards.
Both images were in the photojournalism category, the top image was of a bride helping to get a bridesmaid ready before her wedding at Le Manoir aux quat Saisons, the other image was of some wedding guests at a wedding in Christ Church College in Oxford.
This winter has given us several "white" weddings this year, photographing in cold, dark, snowy conditions is quite a challenge! One has to work extremely quickly to ensure your bridal party does not get cold, equally produce some stunning images for them to cherish.
It was great to receive this lovely e-mail from the Mum of one of our brides
"Stuart, you did an absolutely stunning job in capturing the magic of Helen
& Sams wedding. It was the fairytale Helen wanted to create. Those images
around the Dairy, 5 Arrows and the Manor are just phenominal. Thank you and your
able assistant daughter for dedication to the task in the
cold snow. All very much worth it, certainly from our point of view, but yours
too, I am sure. You put everyone at their ease and unobtrusively covered the whole occasion
beautifully. We are delighted with the results." Here are some of Helen and Sam's wedding images from The Dairy Waddesdon
Christ Church is the largest and probably most beautuful colleges in Oxford university, it also has the Cathedral Church for the Diocese of Oxford. We had the pleasure of photographing two weddings at Christ Church College last year and thought you might like to see some of the stunning architecture and wedding photography at this Oxford College.
We are very excited to announce that Stuart has won the title of "Traditional Wedding Photographer of the Year 2008" with this stunning image of Ben and Caragh on their wedding day at Christ Church Cathedral Oxford. We were even more excited when Stuart was announced runner up in the overall title of "Photographer of the Year 2008", Stuart had the honour of winning "Photographer of the Year " and "Contemporary Photographer of the Year" last year.
Stuart was presented his award by Phil Jones CEO of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers, Stuart's wife Jan and daughter Sarah were also there to celebrate with Stuart.
Wow what a busy month August has been, so many amazing weddings, I have got a bit behind with the blog, but there will be lots to post in the coming weeks, starting with Ben and Caragh who flew back home from Hong Kong for a beautiful wedding at Christ Church College Oxford and reception at Eynsham Hall Oxfordshire.
